More signs that Verona will have a new restaurant on Bloomfield Avenue soon: The first-floor walls are up at John McEvoy’s upcoming place.  And the Verona Town Council, at its Monday, September 19 meeting, approved the transfer of the liquor license that McEvoy held for the Verona Inn to the new location.

Plans for the new restaurant call for a facade covered in brick that will tie together the former Verona Camera site with the former location of Sonny’s On The Avenue. McEvoy owns both properties. The new restaurant, as yet unnamed, will open later this fall and have indoor and patio seating.
