On Saturday, October 1 at 5:30 p.m., Verona’s own Marching Maroon and White hosts 13 bands from across our area at the annual Band Festival and Competition at Verona High School field. It is an evening of great entertainment–and great food–at an affordable rate. Verona students get in free, and other tickets are just $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and $3 for children 12 and under.

The Marching Maroon and White is under the direction of Erik Lynch. This year’s theme for Verona’s Musical Program is “Hungarian Fantasy”. Verona’s most recent award was 2010’s Best Overall Effect and Percussion at All-State Championships. In 2012, Verona’s Marching Maroon and White will participate in its first National Competition.
