At 8 a.m. this morning, Essex County will hold a service to mark the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The service will be at the 9/11 memorial in Eagle Rock Reservation near the Highlawn Pavilion.
At 3 p.m., a bishop, a rabbi and an imam will join in an interfaith service in the historic Trinity & St. Philip’s Cathedral located at 608 Broad Street in Newark.
At 6 p.m., Verona will hold in 9/11 ceremony at the monument opposite Town Hall. Two Verona residents, William Erwin and Stephen Roach , died in the attacks on the World Trade Center, as did Howard Kestenbaum, a resident of Montclair who worshipped at Congregation Beth Ahm.
