The Verona Pool will open as usual at noon today, though the water might be a tad chilly after Hurricane Irene. And you may have to drive in a zigzag to get there: Fairview Avenue was blocked off around the high school this morning to deal with a tree leaning on wires there.

Verona Recreation Department Director Jim Cunningham would also like to remind you that the final outdoor summer concert will be at the pool as scheduled on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The band is Alotta Colada, and you’ll recognize a lot of your neighbors in it. The concert is open to Verona residents only.
