Bridge, Tunnel Tolls Going Up

Share post:

It’s going to cost you more to get across the Hudson into New York City, but not as much as the Port Authority had initially proposed. The governors of New Jersey and New York have signed off on a plan to raise the tolls by $1.50 next month for E-Z Pass holders and $2.50 for those without. Tolls will rise by 75 cents each December, from 2012 through 2015.  The toll increases will, however, come with an audit of operations at the Port Authority, which spent $85.7 million in overtime last year. Bloomberg has the full story.
