A noontime transformer fire on Park Avenue cut power to a wide swath of town today. Most of the homes and busineses on the north side of Bloomfield Avenue went dark. As of 2 p.m., the lights were back on in Town Hall, but some sections are still out. No word yet from PSE&G on when the rest of the lights will be back on.
UPDATE 2:06 p.m.: PSE&G called to say everybody should be back on.
