Moms’ Group Holding Membership Drive

Friends of West Essex, a local non-profit, social membership organization for mothers, is holding its annual “Membership in the Park” event on Friday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Grover Cleveland Park in Caldwell. Coffee and doughnuts will be served free of charge.

The annual event offers those interested in becoming members of FOWE the opportunity to learn more about the organization and the activities planned for the year from current, active members of the group. Upcoming events include a children’s outing to the Turtle Back Zoo, a ladies’ night out, and the annual Halloween party. FOWE, established in 1990, offers a wide variety of activities for stay-at-home and working mothers, new mothers, new residents, and nannies living in West Essex area (Caldwell, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Livingston, North Caldwell, Roseland, Verona, West Caldwell and West Orange). Activities include playgroups, children’s outings, book discussions, ladies night out, children’s parties and crafts, “in a pinch” support services, and much more.

If people are unable to attend event and would like to learn more about FOWE, membership information can be found on FOWE’s Web site or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. An annual membership fee of $35 is required to join and is used to off-set the cost of activities.
