This one is for all the Lego-crazed families in Verona. The Bronx Zoo has added a clutch of animals made from Legos to its grounds as part of something called the Great Summer Zoofari. Your kids can see Lego flamingos, Lego giraffes, and even a Lego tiger. The Zoo is holding a variety of activities around Zoofari, including a weekend with a Lego Master Builder on August 20 and 21 when the kids can help build a giant crocodile.
As we’ve told you before, the Bronx Zoo is easy to get to and it doesn’t have to be a budget-buster: The zoo is offering a discount admission package during Zoofari. Your family can even win zoo tickets and a Lego building set. Just have the kids build a wildlife creature out of the bricks and upload a photo to the Zoo’s Facebook page. The winner will be picked on Sunday, August 21.
