Juniors Thank Community For Fund Raiser Success

We’ve gotten this letter from the Junior Woman’s Club, which brought in a team of hair stylist to decorate kids’ hair with red, white and blue during Verona’s fireworks on June 30:

To the editor:

On behalf of the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, I would like to thank the community for supporting our recent fundraiser, Hair Color for Kids. During the Verona fireworks on June 30, we were able to raise $515 for The Valerie Fund.

I also would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to Alicia and her team from Alicia’s Hair & Design, who volunteered their services during the fundraiser. They did a great job, and the fundraiser would not have been as successful without them. In addition, I want to thank Jim Cunningham and the Verona Recreation Department for their support and assistance.

The Verona Juniors are pleased to be able to donate to the Valerie Fund, which provides support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders.

Thanks again to everyone involved in making our fundraiser a success!
