Matt Myklusch, the author of the Jack Blank book series, will be at Verona Pool this afternoon as part of C.H.I.L.D.‘s summer reading room series.

The two Jack Blank books, The Accidental Hero and The Secret War, are fantasy/adventure books aimed at 8 to 12 year old readers. In them, the orphan Jack Blank travels to a secret country packed with superheroes, ninjas and more.

Myklusch’s visit is now scheduled to run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and there will be free books–courtesy of C.H.I.L.D.–for the first 25 kids to arrive. C.H.I.L.D., which stands for Children Having Individual Learning Differences, runs a variety of seminars on learning issues throughout the school year, as well as the summer reading program.
