Four Verona youths hold their second lemonade sale on Oakridge Road to earn funds to donate to Team Zoey, the the group that is raising money to fund research into a disease that has affected Verona toddler Zoey Penny. She has progeria, a disease that causes children to age rapidly. Fund raisers held for Team Zoey support the Progeria Research Foundation, which recently announced that a study indicates that an immune suppressing drug called rapamycin might be a treatment for progeria. PRF funded the study, as well as the clinical trials that will be conducted. Zoey Penny will participate in the trials. (Photo courtesy Meg Slotkin.)
