Though both Frank Sapienza and Michael Nochimson were officially sworn in to new terms on the Verona Town Council last Friday morning, they and the rest of the Council were on the steps of Town Hall last night for the ceremony marking the Council’s new term. An organizational meeting for the new term is also held at the ceremony so that the Council can elect and swear in the members who will lead the body as mayor and deputy mayor. Sapienza will be the new mayor and Bob Manley the new deputy mayor.  (Day-to-day management of Verona is handled by Township Manager Joe Martin.)

Town Council meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of the month in the Council chambers on the second floor of Town Hall and they are open to the public.
