Here at MyVeronaNJ.com, we use Quickbooks to help us manage our business. Now, the nice folks at Intuit, the company behind Quickbooks, have invited us to compete for a grant that could earn us up to $50,000. But you have to help.

You, our fabulously loyal readers, wonderful subscribers and supportive advertisers, need to go to Intuit’s “Love A Local Business” Web site and vote for us. You can vote for us as many times as you like, through the Intuit Web site, Facebook, Twitter or by cell phone. Every time you enter, you’ll need to give Intuit a reason why you love MyVeronaNJ.com. (Easy, right?) Intuit has a panel of judges who will take note of all this when it comes time to give out the prizes.

The contest has two prizes, $25,000 and a $50,000 grand prize. Every month from now through the end of September, we have a chance to win a $25,000 prize. If we win that level, we are automatically entered into the grand prize drawing. The judges will select the business that is most “loved by its customers, vendors, employees, or local community.”

What exactly will we do with the money when we win? Much as we would love to run away to Bali (just for a little while; not forever), Intuit is giving out the money to help small businesses hire the help they need to grow their business. We’ve got a lot of plans for it.

So, if you want to see MyVeronaNJ.com do more of the reporting that it has been doing in Verona, start voting now. Click on this link and then on the “Nominate Us” button.” Put a note on your calendar to vote every day, and watch for our updates on the voting. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell every Hillbilly you’ve ever known.

We’re growing this business for you.
