Frank Sapienza and Michael Nochimson, who won four-year terms to the Verona Town Council on May 10, were sworn in this morning at Town Hall. Sapienza, who won re-election with the largest vote count for any of the eight candidates in the election, was sworn in by Town Clerk Jean McEnroe, accompanied by his wife, Jean. Nochimson, who is a newcomer to the Council, was sworn in by Rep. Bill Pascrell. He is pictured below with his family.
This morning’s ceremony was for statutory purposes. The formal ceremony will be Tuesday, July 5 at 6 p.m. in front of Town Hall. Kevin Ryan, who won the unexpired portion of a term in the May election, was sworn in on May 17.
