If you are caring for a elderly person in or out of your home, you might want to look into a new support group for caregivers that has been created by the United Way. The United Way Caregivers Coalition is designed to provide support to senior caregivers in Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Livingston, Montclair, North Caldwell, Roseland, West Caldwell and Verona. The group is modeled on a caregivers program that has been operating in Morris County since 2005, and will bring in medical professionals, social service agencies, community and faith-based groups and more.

For information, contact Deborah Day at [email protected] or 973-746-4040, ext. 209.

And if you have not yet taken the MyVeronaNJ senior careg survey, take time to do so now.
