The Verona Animal Hospital is joining forces with the Global Animal Foundation to assist animals in weather-ravaged areas of the globe. The hospital will be hosting a three- day bake sale beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 3. All proceeds will go toward animals in Japan, Missouri, and other needy areas. The hospital will match all monies earned dollar for dollar.
The Global Animal Foundation functions like a Red Cross for animals. Its mission is to quickly and effectively get resources on the ground during natural and man-made disasters, and other emergencies, that put animals, from pets to wildlife, in critical peril.
The home-baked goods will be lovingly supplied by the veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and receptionists at the hospital. In addition to mouth-watering treats for humans, delicious treats for your favorite feline or canine will also be available for purchase. The hospital staff encourages those who are counting calories to stop by and say hello and make a donation.
The Verona Animal Hospital is located at 17 Grove Avenue, Verona. Hours of the sale are:
Friday, June 3, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Saturday, June 4, from 9:30 a.m-3 p.m.
Sunday, June 5, from 11 a.m-3 p.m.
