If we can’t see reality through rose-colored glasses, we might at least try to see it through Jay Mohr’s eyes. The Verona-born comic is doing color commentary on the Bravo TV cat fight “Real Housewives of New Jersey” in a blog on the Bravo site.
Some of what he writes is probably what you are thinking as you watch the show, like why exactly would a baptism need a bouncer? Or this:
“Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was inevitably a little mellower than the season premiere, however it was still a solid episode. It begins with Caroline Manzo saying, “It’s cold. It’s sticky, and it’s slippery.” For a moment my heart jumped, because I thought they had brought back Danielle.
And, of course, since this is Jay Mohr, there are a few gems that can’t be repeated here because we’re trying to be a family friendly site. Mohr’s mud-slinging would probably be better done as video than in writing, but all in all, it’s much more entertaining than the show itself. You can find all of Mohr’s musings here.
