The National Weather Service is putting our area on alert again for strong storms that could include a tornado. The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight, June 1, and covers Bergen, Hudson, Union and Passaic counties, in addition to Essex county, as well as New York City and southern Connecticut.

If a tornado warning is issued–which means that somebody has spotted a twister coming our way–you should go down to your basement and wait until the storm passes. If you cannot go downstairs, or you are in a building without a basement, get as far away from windows as you can.
