Essex County is holding a jobs expo today, May 26, for adults 18 and older at the Essex County College Gymnasium in Newark. Attendees can meet with businesses from a variety of fields, including health care, banking, wireless communication, social service agencies, retail opportunities, food preparation, law enforcement, property management, hotels and tourism, sales, printing, military, and shipping and logistics. In addition, county offices and local agencies will have information available about job readiness skills and financial literacy, several colleges and trade schools will be on-site to provide curriculum information, and medical agencies will provide free health screenings.
The expo runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Essex County College Gymnasium is located at 303 University Avenue, near the courts complex in Newark.
