Where In Verona Is It? Week 44

Spiderman has Doctor Octopus, Superman has Lex Luthor. Sherlock Holmes has Professor Moriarty, Jerry Seinfeld has Newman and Fred Goode has Beth Shorten.

Yes, before I get a barrage of angry e-mails, I know that Beth is too nice to really be Fred’s arch-enemy; I grew up across the street from her grandfather. But she has an uncanny ability to solve some of the more difficult Where In Verona contests on some of the thinnest of clues. How else to explain that she divined the location of Week 43–the Verona High School baseball field–from a closeup of a garbage can and a fence cap?

Ladies and gentlemen, if you want to win one of MyVeronaNJ.com’s signature baseball caps before Beth does again, you have just nine contests left.  Which means that you have to begin to think like Beth’s arch-enemy. So strap on your mechanical arms, grab your kryptonite and channel your inner criminal mastermind (or mail carrier), and start guessing. The rules are the same as always: Real name and real e-mail address in the Comments field below.

UPDATE: We’ve added a second third fourth fifth photo.

  1. What no photo 2 yet? (come on it’s 6:02). And couldn’t you have gone with Batman has his Catwoman? Lex Luther is bald and Dr. Octopus??? (Well sometimes I feel like I do need a couple of extra arms and my son does like marine life). I have no clue, but I’m guessing…Henry’s Fine Foods.

  2. Keeping with Julie’s idea about the High School, is there a home economics classroom there that may be what Fred is trying to hide this week?

  3. Thanks Jeff…just call me Catwoman…or maybe I’d rather go with Nancy Drew…my guess: 7 11?

    back to you Jeff.

  4. I guess I should have looked at the list I had asked for in the first place. I thought we already did Terry’s. Not on the list so let’s wrap this week up…

  5. I guess you put me in my place. I will leave the other similar guess to someone else since it’s still early.

  6. In this flurry of guesses, we finally have the right answer. Jeff Hagaman, you have won your second hat. It is Learning Express. We’ll get the rest of the photos up soon.

  7. Beth, we both got clobbered on this one. What I want to know is, why would Learning Express need a Board of Health License? That’s what threw me off. Nice job once again Fred. And our (MyVeronaNJ) hats off to Mr Hagaman. Have a great weekend all.
