Kevin J. Ryan, the winner of the two-year term in last week’s Verona Town Council election, was sworn in at last night’s meeting. His wife, Valerie Kibrick Ryan and son Matthew Ryan stood by him as the oath was administered by Jean McEnroe, Verona’s town clerk. Ryan thanked the other candidates in the election for their participation, saying, “I’m hoping the people who ran will stay involved in town government.” He also noted that many of those who voted for him had never voted before in a municipal election. “I hope they continue along that path,” he added.
