Youth Jobs Expo Today

If you’re between the ages of 16-25, and looking for a job, you might want to head down to the jobs fair that the Essex County Department of Economic Development, Training & Employment is holding in Newark this morning.

The Youth Services Expo will feature over 100 vendors and service providers. Exhibitors include businesses in health care, customer service, banking, wireless communication, social service agencies, retail opportunities, food preparation, law enforcement, and sales. In addition, County offices and local agencies will have information available about job readiness skills, financial literacy, and much more.

The event will be held in the Essex County College Gymnasium, which is near the corner of University Avenue and West Market Street, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Use the map below to get there. Admission to Youth Services Expo is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is available on-line at through the County’s Web site.
