Softball Team Adds To Winning Streak

Verona’s  U10 softball team will be in Roseland tonight, looking to cap a strong week. The ladies had to come from behind on Tuesday night to tie the Livingston Thunder 5-5 in Livingston, their second tie in as many games.

Katie Ryan with the hot bat touched all four bases in the forth inning of that game. Julia Rigney drove in a run and scored the game-tying run on a double delivered by Renata Primmer.

However the pitching Tuesday night was the difference. Amber Reed started strong and Kate Stanisci followed her lead entering the game in the 5th giving up no runs through three innings.
