School Board Posts Proposed Budget

Verona’s superintendent of schools, Charles B. Sampson, has begun a round of presentations to school SCAs about the proposed 2011-2012 budget, which has just been posted to the school system’s Web site. You can read the 16-page document here. The budget, which is an increase of about $104 per household, goes to a public vote on Wednesday, April 27.

Also, the H.B. Whitehorne SCA has rescheduled its Board of Education candidates night to Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in the Verona High School library. If you have a question for Steve Spardel or Dawn Dubois, the candidates for the one open seat, you can submit it to the SCA here.
