Essex County is looking for volunteers to participate in GeesePeace, a county-wide program that uses humane methods to control the Canada geese population. The program is geared to limit the birth of goslings and is endorsed by the Humane Society of the United States. Training will be provided through an “on-call” system based on the number of volunteers who are interested in participating.

If you want to volunteer, contact Essex County Environmental Affairs Coordinator Tara M. Casella by e-mail or 973-228-8776.
