Natasha Hiden-Burns, who is often running around town with a pack of dogs as part of her business, Dog’s Best Friend, will be running for a different purpose on April 16. That’s when Caldwell College will be holding a 5K run-walk for autism, which affects one New Jersey child in 94, the highest prevalence in the nation. Last year, the race attracted 700 runners and raised over $40,000.
The event will also be an opportunity to learn more about Caldwell College’s Center for Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, which provides state-of-the-art services in ABA to individuals with autism of all ages, as well as suppliers of autism services.
Hiden-Burns teaches children with autism while pursuing a master’s degree in behavioral analysis, and you can support her run by donating here. If you want to run or walk yourself, you can register here.
