Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a horse race.

Eight Verona residents have filed to run for Town Council this year and the ballot for the remaining two years of former council member Ken McKenna’s term is going to be particularly crowded.

Four of the eight candidates are seeking the single two-year term spot: James Robbins, Kevin Ryan, Gerard Tamburino and David Bruce Williams. The remaining four candidates will be vying for the two four-year terms that are up for election. The candidates are Robert Caruso, Daniel McGinley, Michael Nochimson and Frank Sapienza.

The election will be held on Tuesday, May 10. MyVeronaNJ.com will have complete profiles on all the candidates.
