The Verona Rescue Squad will be holding its first blood drive for 2011 on Wednesday, March 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. at its headquarters at 12 Church St. To be a donor, you can register for an appointment online at The Blood Center of New Jersey or leave a message for the Rescue Squad at 973-857-4760. Walk-ins are also welcome. Donors will receive a $15 ShopRite gift card. For the current rules on being a blood donor, see the Blood Center’s Web site.
