Montclair Bikery is offering four free sessions on bike maintenance and repair in March, starting this Thursday night. The schedule is below and if you’re interested in attending, you need to reserve your place now by e-mail or by calling 973-744-7252. All classes are held in the service area of Montclair Bikery from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be prizes and refreshments.
March 3 – “Keeping Your Ride Rolling”. Topics include: How to change a flat, how to check tire wear, how to true a wheel.
March 10 – “Keeping Your Ride Shifting”. Topics include: How to correct chain rub, how to fix a skipping chain, how to check for chain wear.
March 17 – “Keeping Your Ride Clean”. Topics include: General frame maintenance, cleaning your bike.
March 24 – “Keeping Your Ride Safe”. Topics include: Keeping your brakes from breaking, checking for brake pad wear.
I wanted to let you know that my sons and I went to the bike repair class at the Montclair Bikery, and it was very informative. I would recommend it to anyone that rides a bike at least once a year or has child that rides.
