Essex County Choral Festival

More than 300 singers from across Essex County will converge on the Newark Museum on Sunday, March 6, for the Essex County Choral Festival. The groups include the Elmwood United Presbyterian Church Celebration Mass Choir-East Orange, Essex Chorale-East Orange, Kol Dodi-New Jersey Metro-West, Maplewood Glee Club, Newark Boys Chorus, Oratorio Society of New Jersey-Montclair, North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club and Voices In Harmony-Maplewood/South Orange. The choirs will open the concert by singing together a piece commissioned specifically for the occasion by Essex County composer David Snyder and conducted by Vicki Carter.

The concert will begin promptly at 4 p.m. Admission is free and on-site parking is available for $9.  The Newark Museum is located at 49 Washington Street in Newark.
