A new Disney stage musical, “Newsies”, will kick off the 2011-2012 season at the Paper Mill Playhouse. The show, which runs September 15 to October 16 is based on the feature film musical of the same name, which was inspired by a strike of newspaper delivery boys more than a century ago.

The Paper Mill’s next season will also include “White Christmas” (November 16 to December 18), “Boeing-Boeing” (January 18, 2012 – February 12, 2012), “Damn Yankees” (March 7, 2012 – April 1, 2012) and “Once on This Island (May 30, 2012 – June 24, 2012).

Three, four and five-show subscription packages are available starting at $84. Single tickets will go on sale this summer and range in price from $25 to $96. Student rush tickets are $25 and are available the day of the performance in person with current student ID. Tickets and subscriptions may be purchased by calling 973-376-4343, or at the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office at 22 Brookside Drive in Millburn, or through the Paper Mill’s Web site.
