School will be out next week, but science and math are still in at the Liberty Science Center. LSC is bringing back its Touch Tunnel maze and, on February 20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., it will demonstrate experiments that explore the senses of vision and touch. These demonstrations are free with paid admission.
On February 19 and 26, your kids can try their own experiments in the center’s BASF Kids Lab. The Lab is for kids ages 6-11 and there is an extra $5 charge for participation, but in return, you’ll get a $5 voucher good towards the purchase of other LSC experiences. Space in the labs is limited, so call 201-253-1310 for reservations.
On February 21-22, Art Benjamin– who LSC calls a “mathemagician”–will be doing demonstrations of mental magic. The shows will be in J.D. Williams Science Theater and there is a $5 per person extra charge. Showtimes on February 21 are 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on February 22.
