The 5th grade boys travel basketball went into the playoffs as the #4 seed in the Suburban Basketball League. They had to begin the play-offs on the road, going up against # 1 seed West Orange. We’ll let Coach Pete Festa pick up the action from there. “On Thursday night, Verona played a tough game and each of the 10 Verona boys made huge contributions as Verona upset powerful West Orange 29-28,” he says. “Verona is now headed to the championship game against the winner of the Livingston-Nutley semifinal game.”  Go, team!
