Obituaries: Elaine J. Wands

Ms. Elaine J. Wands, 75, died on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. A memorial service will be announced for a future date.

Born in Montclair, she was raised in Verona, lived in Montclair and returned to Verona 20 years ago. Ms. Wands was a secretary at the Verona–Cedar Grove Times on Bloomfield Avenue in Verona for many years. She was a very friendly and caring person who enjoyed all the activities of the Verona Senior Citizen Club.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carolyn Wands and is the aunt of Ellen L. Conover, Nance J. Wands, John B. Wands and the late Thomas (Tinker) Wands. She is also loved by two Great-nieces, five Great-nephews and Amy, Am Bam, Jessica and Ehren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Methodist Church of Verona, 26 Montrose Avenue, Verona, NJ 07044 would be appreciated.
