WINGS, the new cancer support group in Verona, is holding a free program Wednesday night called “Restorative Yoga”. The group, whose name stands for Women Inspiring Nurturing Giving Strength and Support, says the session is an opportunity to synchronize your mind and body. No previous yoga experience needed. WINGS says restorative yoga is suitable for all and can be done in a chair or on a mat. The class, which will be taught by Laurie Fusco, runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat if possible. WINGS will hold a free program for cancer patients every month.
