Kristine Liska may have had three advantages going into this week’s competition. First, is the fact that she has been in Verona a while; since age two to be exact. Second is that she grew up on Kenwood three houses away from where Kathleen Seubert, one of this contest’s most frequent guessers and winners, grew up. Third, her email address contains a term about pets.

Still she contends that her guess, Four Paws Stay & Play, was just that, a lucky guess. “After I saw the other guesses, I just thought maybe it might be the puppy daycare,” Liska says.  “I pass it  when run my errands and it just popped into my head.”

If Four Paws didn’t pop into your head, you should know that it is a day care facility for dogs located at 168 Pompton Avenue, just north of Bunky’s, one of our earlier contest locations. Four Paws is a place where dogs get to socialize and play, while their owners are at work. Dogs are placed into play groups based on their size and temperament, and when they are not romping, some pretty cushy places to hang out. It also offers training classes from puppy through advanced obedience levels.
