The Verona boys basketball team kicked off their game against Morris Knolls last night by putting 14 points on the board in the first quarter. Morris Knolls edged ahead in the 2nd, but Verona re-grabbed the lead in the third. Unfortunately, the fourth quarter was all Morris Knolls’, with that team’s Esaun Mobley putting up nine of his 21 points in the period.
Alex Sniatowski was the high scorer for Verona with 15 points, while Brian Farrell got 12 and Bobby Kaslander had 8 on the night. Kaslander also had 7 rebounds, while Sniatkowski had 9.
Verona’s record now stands at 10-5-0. The team faces off against Immaculate Conception and Nutley this week.
