If you are over age 60 and looking for work, it will probably interest you to know that you are eligible for free employment counseling thanks to a new social service program for Verona senior citizens. The Verona LIVE employment counselor will be at the Verona Community Center every Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 973-830-0096 to schedule an appointment.

Job-hunting help is just one of the services offered by Verona LIVE which stands for Lifelong Involvement For Vital Elders. The program also provides residents over the age of 60 with activities, social worker services and assistance in minor home repairs. To make an appointment for home repair work, call at 973 674-2415 ext. 296. Support for Verona LIFE is provided by the U.S. Administration on Aging and United Jewish Appeal, and it is funded in part through a grant from Partners for Health.
