Wrestlers Advance To State Sectionals

For the first time in the nearly 30 years that there has been wrestling at Verona High School, a Hillbilly team has qualified for state sectionals.

According to pairings released today by the NJSIAA, Verona, which is in North Jersey Section 2, Group 1, will be hosting a first round match on Monday, February 7 against Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge. No start time yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Verona is seeded fourth with a record of 10-4, 25.36.
