Mr. Albert H. Buckholz, 86, died on Monday, January 24, 2011 in Glen Ridge.
A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Friday, January 28 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Buckholz lived in Verona for 49 years prior to moving to West Orange three years ago.
He was vice president of Clinton Square Auto Parts in Newark from 1943 to 1997. Mr. Buckholz served as a director for the NJ Motor Truck Association and was involved in the Verona Baseball League and Verona Eagles Football program.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle (nee Cavanaugh) Buckholz, his children, Patricia Mousel and her husband Paul, Susan Evans and her husband Marc, Jeffrey Buckholz and his wife Susan and Stephen Buckholz. He is also survived by grandchildren, Sean McGrath, Erin Orisitian, Benjamin Mousel, Leah Healy, Whitney Hatcher, Taylor Buckholz Zane Buckholz and his great grandchildren Quinn Healy, Caitlyn Orisitian, Rebecca Hatcher and Joey Hatcher.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Endowment Fund of Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona 07044 would be appreciated.
