Five Verona homes that are listed for sale are having open houses this weekend. So if you’re in the market, here’s what’s open when. Four of the houses are in the Forest Avenue elementary school district; the fifth is close to Laning. And you’ll be home in plenty of time to watch the Jets smash the Steelers.
The lowest-priced house is 11 Morningside Road, a three-bed two-bath house that is on the market for $394,900 after a drop of just over $3,000 earlier this week. It is open from 2 to 4 p.m. Same street, closer to Verona Park is 6 Morningside Road, which will be open from noon to 4 p.m. This is a large house (five beds, 2 and a half baths) on a large lot, and the asking price is $399,000.
Over on the Laning Avenue side of town, the owners of 53 Linden Avenue have listed it for sale at $448,000. The house has three beds, two baths, a detached garage and an extra deep lot. The open house is 1 to 4 p.m.
If you need–or want–a two-family, there’s one at 28 East Lincoln Street, a cul-de-sac off Bloomfield Avenue. The asking price is $499,900, and you can get a look from 1 to 4 p.m.
Last up this weekend is 42 Gerdes Avenue. This is, by Verona standards, another large house–more than 2,000 square feet–and it features a beautifully remodeled open kitchen. The price was cut by $20,000 to $549,000 earlier this week. It is open from 2 to 4 p.m.
