Obituaries: Edward J. Fahy, Sr.

Mr. Edward J. Fahy, Sr., 74, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in Morristown. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday, January 22 at 11 a.m.

Born in Verona, Mr. Fahy lived in Blakeslee, Pa., prior to moving to White Township 5 years ago.

He was the supervisor of buildings & grounds for the Madison Board of Education and previously had worked for the Verona Board of Education.

Mr. Fahy served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1957, the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and was a life member of the NRA.

He is the husband of the late Eileen E. Fahy, the father of Edward J. Fahy, Jr., Daryll W. Fahy and his wife Jennifer, the brother of John W. Fahy and his wife Patricia, Richard A. Fahy and his wife Marilyn, the grandfather of Lindsay R. Fahy, David DeFazio, Dylan E. Fahy, Marisa R. Fahy and the great grandfather of Adelaide Marie Fahy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Marines Care, USMCL, P.O. Box 306, Whippany NJ 07981 would be appreciated.
