Listen up, weather wimps. Verona is in the snow belt and yes, there have been winters with more snow than this one. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at this photo that Jim Battista dug up of the Blizzard of 1996.

The National Weather Service says we’re in line for more snow today and tomorrow. “Heavy” snow, to be exact. Maybe a foot or more. Look for the flakes to begin just as the sports are wrapping up tonight and continuing all through Wednesday.

The kids are already chanting “snow day, snow day, snow day.” And yes, MyVeronaNJ.com will post it as soon as the call is made.
