Snow Removal Won’t Melt Budget

At Monday night’s Town Council Meeting, Verona Township Manager Joe Martin pegged the cost of cleaning up the December 26 blizzard at $80,000 to $90,000. But the good news is that that cost will be contained within the 2010 budget and won’t deplete the $1 million surplus that Verona has taken into 2011 for tax relief.

Mark Fortgang took the photo below from his driveway. It’s exaggerating the size of the snowfall–but not by much.
