Where In Verona Is It? Classic Look Salon

Yes, there are a lot of salons and nail parlors in Verona. But they each have a devoted clientele, and so it was that Diane Polledri knew not only that the Where In Verona contest was at Classic Look Salon this week, but that it was the station belonging to the stylist who cuts her hair. Classic Look, if you haven’t been there yet, is located on the east side of town at 146 Bloomfield Avenue in the same strip mall as Mardi Gras, which was last week’s winning location.

Polledri, who has lived in Verona for 12 years, says her “absolute favorite” place in town is the pool.  “My daughter was a lifeguard there for years and my son worked in the snack bar for years,” she says. “So many good friends to see–it’s always a delight to see how the kids have grown over the winter. And today of course I am particularly missing the pool and summertime.”

(We’ll just note, for the record, that when our much beloved summer venue was in the design stage four decades ago, Verona had the option of building a year-round pool. Alas.)

Here are all of Fred Goode‘s pictures for week 23, including a photo of Fred taking the photos.
