There’s a message cleverly built into every production by the Pushcart Players, the Verona-based theater company that targets young audiences. And with some of the biggest messaging of the day focused on bullying, you’d expect that message to be in the Pushcart Players’ rep.
And so it is in the troupe’s newest musical, “Happily Ever After — A Cinderella Tale.” The heroine’s stepmother and stepsisters provide several teachable moments and at the end of each performance, the actress who plays the stepmother discusses the bullying that takes place in the play and urges the students to make better choices in their own lives.
Pushcart is making the show available to schools and theaters for students from pre-k to grade 5 throughout the tri-state area. To get more information on booking, or to preview the show, call “Pushcart” at (973) 857-1115 or send an e-mail to [email protected].
