Obituaries: Kevin D. Carr

Mr. Kevin D. Carr, 57, died on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Livingston.

A funeral mass will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Thursday, December 2 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Born in Montclair, Mr. Carr was a lifelong Verona resident. He graduated from Montclair State College and has been a physician relations manager for Solaris Healthcare.

Mr. Carr was involved in the Cornerstone Retreat Program, Cursillo and served as a lector and eucharistic minister at Our Lady of the Lake Church and was a member of the Fr. James Kelly Council of the Knights of Columbus. He coached for the Verona Baseball Softball League and the Verona Eagles.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his father, Eugene in 1961. He is survived by his wife Diane M. (nee Nigro) Carr, his children, Connor, Colleen and Kelly, his parents Nicholas and Jean Munning, and his siblings, James Carr and his wife Janet, Mindy Mathisen and her husband Roy, Betsy Mathisen and her husband Torrey, Patrick Carr and his wife Teri, Brian Carr, Tom Munning and his wife Jean, Michael Munning and his wife Suzanne, Nicholas Munning and his wife Carla and Gregory Munning.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s Food Kitchen, 22 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102 would be appreciated.

  1. I have known the Carr/Munning family my entire life. I am deeply saddened by Kevin’s passing but I know Heaven has another angel. RIP Kevin.
