If you haven’t yet ordered your “Share Your Light Night” luminaries kit, you can relax. The Woman’s Club of Verona and the
Verona-Essex Juniorettes have extended the deadline for getting a luminaries kit until Tuesday, November 30.

If you didn’t see “Share Your Light Night” last year, the event aims to line the sidewalks of Verona with luminaries to symbolize neighborhood unity. This year, the luminaries will be lit on Saturday, December 11 at 5 p.m.

The luminaries are white bags slightly filled with sand to hold a 6- to 8-hour burning candle. Each $13 luminary kit contains 10 white bags, 10 candles and sand. If you want to buy one, contact Judy Hennig at (973) 857-4552 or click here to download an order form. Orders may be picked up at the Verona Community Center on December 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. You can also choose to pick up your kits at the Fair in the Square on December 4 from noon to 5 p.m. Luminaries may also be purchased at the Fair while supplies last.

The proceeds from the sale of the luminaries will help the organizations to provide services to Verona.
