Sometimes, you just need a marshmallow roast. The Essex County Environmental Center will oblige this week with a Fall Harvest Campfire on Thursday and Friday. You and your kids can sit around a campfire and celebrate the harvest season with roasted marshmallows or popcorn and cider. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the center wants to make sure you dress for the weather since this is an outside event. The cost is $6 per child and $8 per adult, and you’ve got to register in advance by calling 973-228-8776.

The campfire will be held Thursday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m., or Friday, November 26 at either noon or 2:30 p.m. The center is located at 621B Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland.
