So we hope that, after you looked at all those lovely photos of Verona’s recycling center last week you were inspired to take something there for recycling on Saturday. And that you’ll always remember to bring your cardboard and old electronics there and not dump them at the curb.

Now that that public service announcement is out of the way, we’ll get to the larger purpose of today’s story: Introducing the first clue for a new week of our Where In Verona contest. The first Fred Goode photo for Week 17 is below, so put your best guess in the Comments field, giving us your real name and real e-mail address. If nobody gets it today (and Fred is really hoping you won’t) we’ll be adding more photos to the slideshow all week long.

UPDATE: We’ve added a second clue.

  1. That would have been very devious of us to repeat a location (Towne Scoop was the Week 3 answer). But no. However, if you do want to see what’s happening now at Towne Scoop, check out the “Turkeys and Chicksters” story on the home page.

  2. Well you’ve got us really guessing now…since you’ve already said no to mine and a few more that I would have guessed…I’ll throw out On The Run (Exxon) at the corner of Bloomfield and Mt. Prospect/Pompton

  3. Interesting guess. I didn’t see spoons in the ambulance on our one excursion to Saint Barnabus, but I suppose there might be some in the station house. In either case, it’s not the rescue squad.

  4. Hmmm. Now here we have a dilemma. Kathleen was first with the right answer, but doesn’t have it spelled quite right. Alice does. Both of you ladies are repeat winners so tell me, what do we do?
